Pre-School & Nursery sessions are typically between 20 and 30 minutes in length.

Key Stage 1 sessions are typically 30 minutes in length.

Key Stage 2 sessions are typically between 30 and 40 minutes in length.

SEN sessions are typically between 30 and 40 minutes in length.

Workshops are tailor made to individual school requirements, but as a guide:

Key Stage 1 workshops are typically up to an hour in length.

Key Stage 2 workshops are typically between 60 and 90 minutes in length.

Storytelling sessions are interactive stories that are told and not read, where children are encouraged to participate and add to the narrative. For younger age groups & SEN they very often include puppets and sensory props.

Sessions can be themed around curriculum topics both for literacy and the wider curriculum.

Storytelling workshops include an interactive story that is told and not read, where children are encouraged to participate and add to the narrative. In addition, workshops include exercises to encourage children to create stories both verbally and to feed into written work.

Workshops will include follow up resources for teachers and a return visit can be included to celebrate work produced as a result.

Workshops can be themed around curriculum topics both for literacy and the wider curriculum.

Storytelling sessions can be for up to a whole year group ( ideally no more than 90 children) if space allows.

Workshops can only be for a maximum of 35 children.

I have a wide repertoire of stories from traditional, folk & wonder tales and legends from around the World.

I can also provide Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Norse/ Viking Myths.

I also provide Shakespeare workshops for Key Stage 2.

I can also create bespoke stories around a theme.

I can provide both twilight CPD sessions and inset day workshops. CPD is bespoke depending on the requirements of the booking. Sessions always include storytelling techniques for the classroom and are practical.
